OPEN / RESEAL
The proper opening and resealing of headlights is obviously extremely important. The best solution for resealing is the Morimoto RetroRubber. We made a video that walks through the method we use here at Lightwerkz.
Is your projector retrofit worth the money if the headlights are aimed improperly? Of course not. It may be very harmful to the other drivers in front of you or even completely ineffective. We made a video to help properly align the headlights as to make full use of your upgrade.
FULL INSTALLATION OF PROJECTORS AND SHROUDS
Most vehicles can have a projector mounted inside the factory headlights. We have full projector kits that include the projector and all other necessary parts.
REMOVAL OF STUBBORN REFLECTORS
Sometimes the reflectors in headlights are very stiff. There can be a huge risk of damaging the reflector or even ripping the socket out of the back of the headlight. We made a quick little video on our method of avoiding accidental damage.
PROJECTOR MOUNTING METHODS
Tons of people have attempted to retrofit projectors into their headlights. As long as it was successful, it was a good method to use. Some methods take more work but yield greater results. We made a video to show 3 different methods to allow you to decide for yourself which is best. Always try to stick with what you feel confident in or seek a professional to avoid a big headache.
OPENING OF PERMA-SEALED HEADLIGHTS
Occasionally cars will use a stiff permanent sealant to hold the lens together. This is mostly found in most American, European, and newer Toyota vehicles. This video shows the process of opening a "Perma" light. The new Tundra is just about the easiest Perma light we have come across. Many perma lights take a few rounds in the oven after prying a few minutes at a time.
USE OF SCREWS FOR SEALING
Sometimes the channels of headlights spread open too much. Adding mini screws ensures that the headlight is completely and full closed without the risk of moisture coming inside or the lens freeing itself.
CLEAR LENS CONVERSION
Projector headlights from the factory usually have lenses that have been purposely made to dull the light and cutoff line. Clear lens conversions drastically help tap into the full capabilities of the projectors.
BENEFITS OF THE RETRO-QUIK KITS
Many vehicles come with projector headlights in recent years. A lot of them are still halogen projectors. They might perform better than the reflectors but still need work. A drop in Plug N Play HID kit is still not the answer. They offer an additional upgrade but not the full upgrade you wished for. We show a comparison between a stock halogen projector in a 2015 WRX Vs. the Morimoto Mini H1 in the same set of headlights. We carry Retro-Quik kits for many vehicles so take a look!
WRX & WRX STi C-LIGHT
At Lightwerkz, we offer custom painting services for the inside of headlights as well. Whether it is black or body color matching, we will do it.
VLEDS TRITON SWITCHBACK SYSTEM
Have you ever seen Audi's and other high end cars and thought the DRLs looked so modern and cool? How about how they turn off to exaggerate the turn signal or added safety? Well the Triton Switchback system allows for that feature. They are made for a universal fitment so they can go in just about any application. Add safety and modernization to your vehicle!
2016 TOYOTA TUNDRA CUSTOM FULLY CUSTOM HEADLIGHT
The brand new Tundra is such an awesome vehicle, except for the halogen reflector headlights! This customer agreed with us so he sent them over for the Lightwerkz treatment. They now function at a performance level the old lights could never have imagined. The headlights were already apart so why not add more goodies to the inside? The 110mm XSB halos and Color Morph Demon Eyes were added along with full blackout of the internals.
2015 NISSAN GT-R LIGHTNING-BOLT UPGRADE + MORE
The R35 GT-R has a a single wimpy LED that illuminates the original Lightning-bolt. We took the light apart and added the Morimoto XSB Switchback strip inside of the original area. The switchback feature was also enabled to give the car a unique twist along with added safety. The customer also wanted to go a little further with Morimoto XSB halos and Color Morph Demon Eyes.
